CLASS DESCRIPTION[]
Operational sometime prior to 2371, the Type 9 shuttlecraft was intended to be a mid-range shuttlecraft capable of high speed both in atmosphere and space. The shuttle sacrificed cargo area for speed and performance, as well as increased firepower. Despite the higher maneuverability, the Type 9 was notoriously cramped, and was easily damaged in combat.
