Titan is the largest moon of the the Sol system, orbiting Jupiter Early dreamers had sought to visit in as early as Galileo's time. Those dreams became the hard work of a minority, but a successful endeavor.
A series of cities and stations were found on the moon's surface and in near orbit. Christopher's Landing became the capital city. It also became a safe haven for like minded people during the the post atomic horror.
History[]
Titan Colony was founded roughly 2052 on the moon of Titan, by a common interest group made up of various members including the DFIG under the partnership with the Eruditus Group, and a private financier who carried the controlling interest in the endeavor. The law firm Eruditus Group negotiated with the New United Nations on behalf of the larger group. Representing the interests of both parties while not revealing either to the public, the Eruditus Group negotiated with the New United Nations to sponsor the 2nd Titan Expedition. As a minority partner, DFIG agreed to full direction by Mr. Brack. The expedition launched about the DY-400 SS Stockholm'', commanded by Colonel Christopher and including Micah Brack.
2052[]
The Stockholm touched down on Titan on March 12, 2052. On this site, the crew set a precedence as they assembled the first experimental pressure dome to be utilized in colonization. The dome was completed June 20th, on which day, Micah Brack officially incorporated the colony as per New United Nations regulation under the name Christopher's Landing.
Eruditus Group had negotiated on behalf of DFIG with Brack for nothing more than 10% partnership, 2 employed crew, and official corporate space within the original dome. As a result, despite not actually undergoing full scale construction until the 2080s the DFIG headquarters were officially moved outside of Earth government control, and legally untouchable by Earth government. This was the goal of course, due to unrest it was a worry many had that their assets might be nationalized in the name of the state.
A number of conflicts on the colony moon caused an exodus to continued, believing perhaps titan was not far enough.
2053[]
The first half of the year seemed to see a boom of ships flowing to, and through Titan's space. Then on May 1st, the "May Day of Horror", the Eastern coalition struck, fulfilling the predictions of Micah brack as Earth became fully involved in a massive nuclear exchange and horrific battles in the remainder. The last ships he had financed had managed to lift off from Florida before it was too late, but there would be years of a post atomic horror for all those left behind.
As governor, Micah Brack declared his colony a freeport, hoping to keep his world out of the war.
