Thelonious was born into an average Betazoid family, with no clear vision of what the future held for him. Rather than follow a traditional path, he set out to explore the known galaxy, immersing himself in a variety of cultures and finding himself in countless misadventures along the way. The idea of joining Starfleet was the furthest thing from his mind—that is, until one of his escapades brought him into the middle of a Starfleet operation. During that mission, a Starfleet officer he partnered with left a lasting impression, inspiring Thelonious to take a path he’d never considered. With newfound purpose, he enrolled in Starfleet Academy, ready to embrace the next chapter of his journey as a cadet.

Thelonious was born on Betazed to Ecil and Keaxa Mixman in 2432.
He had lived an ordinary life, becoming fascinated with the history of other planets, particularly Earth. Thelonious would sometimes discuss Earth's history with friends, though he always told it in a way that seemed unreal, like a fairy tale.
