The Primacy[]

Overview[]

The Primacy are a potentially resurrected alien civilization discovered in the former regions of the Black Ocean. The initial contact was with a Nanite created entity calling itself Envoy. This encounter by the Stardancer crew occurred when the ship found a derelict Primacy vessel in 2454. The Envoy was very interested in learning about the Federation and the species of the Milky Way but not forthcoming with information on the Primacy other than that it was an Enemy of the Dark. Following their discussion, the ship and Envoy left to seek out what remained of the Primacy.

A second encounter with the Primacy involved containing an even older technology with the Primacy having built a facility around it. A Primacy AI called Supervisor oversaw the operation of the facility and requested the assistance of the Stardancer in restoring stability to a supermassive black hole in the region.

A third Encounter with the Primacy was also the first encounter with a non-Envoy entity. Aboard the Derelict Orzaul gate, a Primacy ship responded to save the Away team from Shadowbeasts, leftover weapons from the Dark's war. The first glimpse of a Primacy Maid Paladin unit was seen, Two maid Paladins, Tarsa and Tornin, made short work of the infestation before returning to their ship.

Technology[]

The Primacy's level of technology puts it near peer to the Federation perhaps 50 or so years advanced. They use some form of Gravitic Propulsion for sub light instead of impulse which suggest that their ships may be faster and more maneuverable than a Starfleet vessel.

Primacy vessels appear to use a form of transporter technology which operates at a similar capability to Federation transporters, but the visual effects are noticeably different. Whereas most Federation transporters have a visible dissolving effect and blue particles, Primacy transporters appear to encase the subject in a sphere of white light. The target location is similarly enclosed in this sphere of light as the subject is being rematerialized.

Primacy weapons appear to be quite powerful, with ground-based examples utilizing powerful energy that appears as white light. These weapons are devastating to the Dark, and have been shown to destroy shadowbeasts instantly.

The Primacy also makes extensive use of nanotechnology, with both the Envoy and Paladins utilizing nanites in various ways. The Paladins used their nanites to heal both injuries and technological damage, and were able to heal Stardancer crewmembers without any prior experience or knowledge of anatomy.

Dreamspace Transversal[]

The Maid Paladins seem to have the ability to traverse a different dimension of space time, whether this is another layer of subspace or something else entirely or even unique to the LMC has yet to be determined. Music based anchors seem to play a part in the process as well as certain frequency reinforcements on an active warp bubble.

Society[]

The Primacy appears to be a Monarchy headed by a Figurehead called the Primarch. This has been confirmed by the Prayer of the Maid Paladin Kiryna. This was true at least of the time when the Maid Paladin aboard a JKal colony vessel was cast into the black ocean.

The Society is highly secretive though not outright hostile. The Location of the Primacy homeworld seems to be a paramount secret kept even from their operatives abroad. Further study is required.

Envoys[]

Envoys seem to be Sentient Machine constructs of the Nanotechnology available to the Primacy and they act as the primary method of interaction.

Maid Paladins[]

The Maid Paladin order appears to be a ecclesiastic order of warrior preistess's not unlike the knightly orders of ancient earth. So far three ranks have been encountered the Rank of Maid Paladin itself, a junior rank of Acolyte and the Rank of Knight Captain. A Maid Paladin Sanctuary seems to be lead by an enhanced entity known as the Mother Penitent. It is unclear at this time if this entity is a construct like an envoy or biological as the Maid Paladins seem to be.
