Background information[]
The Slip Courier is a civilian design freighter/carrier performing vital trade functions for the UFP. Further, by contract Cochrane Industries is under contract to the UFP to be on standby to aid Starfleet in Mass Evacuation Events. Designers working out the corporate headquarters in Alpha Centauri in concert with experts out of Utopia Planetia have produced a dreadnaught sized freighter capable of entering and maintaining slip stream warp tunnel efficiently. The freighter/carrier hybrid is designed to move goods and commodities as well as small craft with alacrity and efficiency.
