- Race Designation - The Scyrthi
- Species - Avian, restricted to armoured bio-suits
- Initial Contact Made By - U.S.S. Pilgrim, NCC-92481
- Initial Contact Report - LMC Initial Contact – Stardate 94924.01
- Technological Level Observed - Approximate to current Federation technology. Utilises RN-74 crystals.
- Cultural Notations :
- HIGH PRIORITY NOTICE: The Scyrthi engage in the enslavement of other species and have shown a willingness to abduct Starfleet officers. It is highly advised to avoid engagement when possible.
- The Scyrthi have been subject to extreme, detrimental genetic manipulation, presumably at the hands of the Dark's servants. This has left the bodies of the subsequent generations disfigured to the point of being incapable of surviving without the use of armoured bio-suits.
- Suits noted to be silver-coloured and adorned with spikes along the back and shoulders that vaguely resemble wings. They are inscribed to various levels in what is presumably Scyrthi script.
- Species noted to practice a form of “claiming” items and individuals that they believe rightfully belong to them. The U.S.S. Pilgrim and U.S.S. Sentinel have both been claimed as Scyrthi property as recompense for their defeats in battle, indicating a scarcity of resources and a limited acceptable margin for loss. Additionally, non-Scyrthi who board their vessels are viewed as being the property of that vessel's captain.
- Home and colony worlds noted to have been destroyed by the Dark. Species noted to have extreme paranoia of being rediscovered by the Dark, contributing to isolationist attitude.
- Population formerly isolated on disparate generational ships. Unified approximately forty years ago by their 'Speaker,' Savras Cirhun, they are now residing upon a mobile station reported to be comprised of hundreds of ships. Comparisons have been made to the Suliban Helix.
- Utilise powerful tachyon beam weapons to rapidly drain shields and transporters to abduct officers directly from the ship with focus on the Bridge and Engineering sections. Tactic effectively disables a ship without causing unnecessary damage to hull.
