Personal History[]
The being now known as Samwise Blake is a Founder who operated as an intelligence operative during the Dominion War. He was captured and placed in prison for espionage. Although most prisoners were released as part of the Treaty of Bajor, this founder was either intentionally left in prison or forgotten.
The real Samwise Blake was born in 2426 on the Madran VII colony. In 2435, the colony was decimated by a feral swarm of H'urq. Samwise and his family were killed attempting to escape the planet.
Around the same time, the founder had escaped prison and taken refuge on Madran VII. Seeing an opportunity, the founder took on the name and appearance of Samwise Blake and allowed himself to be placed in an orphanage as an opportunity for a new life. Over the next nine years, Sam escaped detection and slowly altered his appearance to simulate aging and improving skills. At eighteen, Sam applied for the Academy. His record in the Academy was good but not outstanding, and he graduated at exactly the 50% percentile.
After graduating, Sam was assigned to the USS O'brien, where he served with quiet but steady focus. He slowly rose in rank, the first promotion granted almost as a matter of routine. His second promotion came with a transfer to the Stardancer, where he met Captain Marcus Blaine. The two men quickly built a friendship, which culminated in Sam saving Blaine's life during a Bajoran attack on Stardancer. Unfortunately for Sam, this action also led to his discovery as an imposter, and he fled Stardancer in a stolen runabout.
Deputy Marshal Erys Murai, Lieutenant Commander Surithrae Alemyn, and a team of Stardancer cadets pursued and arrested Sam, returning him to the Stardancer. Following an interrogation and a visit by JAG officer Captain Cartright, Sam was cleared of any charges aboard Stardancer and returned to Earth to face the prison escape charge. Tuvok announced that Sam had been cleared of that charge as well, but Starfleet had not been so forgiving. Since Sam was newly unemployed, Tuvok offered Sam a position within the UFPMS.
In April of 2455, Sam began UFPMS training at FLETC (the Federation Law Enforcement Training Center). Following his graduation in June, Sam was given his first assignment. Although this assignment was successfully completed, details have not been released to the public. Sam's current assignment and location is also unknown.
