Personal History[]
Richard was born in Warner Robins, Georgia/Earth/Sol System. His grandfather, Commander Richard James Steel, was a Starfleet officer who served on the U.S.S. Excalibur NCC 26517-A. Before he passed away, he left Richard all his Starfleet manuals and books, from his academy days. Even though they were outdated, Richard read those manuals back and forth. Steel's family never liked him being in Starfleet, and Richard and his father have not spoken since that he left for the Academy. Richard thinks of himself as an explorer, wanting to see and meet new places and different races.
