Introduction[]

To boldly go, where no one has gone before. The mantra of Starfleet, and Star Trek as a whole. Star Trek: Daedalus Omega is no different. The purpose of this handbook is to lay out the rules for a d100 based group  storytelling system that is used to help facilitate collaborative adventures. Each cadre or group  of storytellers is led by a Daedalus Game Manager. The Daedalus Game Manager, herein known as a DGM is a player who has taken on the added responsibility of laying out the world and base level narratives that the cadre will create within as well as the framework of the narrative the group wishes to tell. It is the responsibility of all storytellers to contribute to the narrative. Small mistakes are fine. We’ll fix it in post. Get out there, have fun, don’t try to win the game, after all sometimes losing is more fun.

Roleplayer’s Agreement[]

I agree that I understand that I am responsible for my own enjoyment, and my enjoyment should not come at the expense of the enjoyment of others. I will to the best of my abilities contribute to the group narrative in a positive manner. I will not take in character disagreements or shortfalls and project them out of character. I will understand that I am not my character. I will understand that everyone is here to have fun and tell Star Trek stories together.

Setting Overview[]

Star Trek: Daedalus Omega follows the adventures of Starfleet Officers in the 25th Century of the Prime Star Trek Timeline as it existed under Gene Roddenberry  with the Original Series and the subsequent series and movies of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: Enterprise as well as the video games Star Trek: Elite Force, Star Trek: Elite Force 2, Star Trek Online through the Victory Is Life expansion and Star Trek: A final unity, Star Trek Deep Space Nine: Harbinger. Items of the setting may be pulled from the Pocket Books Star Trek universe but they are not one to one. A storyteller does not need to have watched and consumed everything to have fun.

2450s[]

The decade in which this set of stories is set. By the 2450s the galaxy had been at peaceful expansion for over 20 years. The Romulan Republic, Klingon Empire and old foes such as the Dominion and Cardassians are all in a current Alliance within the milky way. In the 2420s a gateway to the Large Magellanic Cloud was discovered which has allowed for exploration and expansion to a large variety of new species and areas to explore. (See Appendices:Species, Appendices: The Milky Way, Appendices: Large Magellanic Cloud). Starfleet has expanded recruitment and ship building to help explore every corner of this expanded universe. DGMs will use this as the backdrop for story telling.
