Personal History[]
Nalie was insulated from the recent Terran takeover for a short time. Her parents, one of the few owners of a Corsair-class cruiser, did their best to raise Nalie in a changing world. Tragically, however, both parents were killed during an encounter with the Terran Federation. Nalie herself was captured and kept as a slave aboard the ISS Adiago.
Several months later, the ISS Adagio made the mistake of attacking the USS Adagio. The attack failed, and the ISS Adagio was captured. Captain Talia rescued Nalie and other slaves, and offered them the choice of returning to their own universe or staying in this one. Most chose to return, but Nalie decided to stay. She asked Talia for a sponsorship to the academy, which the Captain agreed to.
Following her first year at the Academy, Nalie was assigned to the USS Adagio for on-site training. Due to the Adagio's mission, she was recalled back to the Academy only a few weeks later. She continued at the Academy, and due to her extensive knowledge of engineering, she was advanced to her fourth year, skipping almost the entirety of the engineering training (except for mandatory safety regulations).
Upon graduation, Nalie was assigned to the USS Velocity, where she served for only a few weeks before that ship's destruction. She spent the next several years on Starbase 220 as an engineer, where she assisted with several retrofitting and construction projects in the starbase shipyards.
In 2420, Nalie was assigned the task of planning and overseeing a complete rebuild of the USS Protector. Due to that ship's extensive modifications and damage, Nalie stripped the ship down to its skeletal structure and rebuild the ship to the latest standards. This project was completed by the end of the year, and the newly rebuilt Protect was launched again with Nalie as her chief engineer. Nalie served in this role for just over a year in order to ensure that the ship was meeting or exceeding performance specifications. Following this extended shakedown, Nalie transferred to the Citadel to assist with the engineering facilities there.
In 2428, Nalie returned to Starbase 220 and was promoted to Lieutenant Commander along with an assignment as Chief of Operations. Primarily focused on starship repair, construction, and development, Nalie was in her "happy place" and has refused all subsequent offers to transfer to other assignments. Nalie's more recent projects included participation in Starfleet's version of a coaxial warp drive, overseeing the construction of the USS Stardancer, and an ongoing retrofit of the USS Adagio.
