Drusilla Jaqueline Draganov

Dru is the Daughter of Kira Su Daniels^{(SF Retired)} and Lukas Draganov. Officially she was a resident of the Vega IX colony city of New Gideon, but Dru grew up largely on the BTS3 Orbital and a family starship the SS Draganov based there.

As the daughter of a Starfleet Test-Pilot/CAG, and a recovered Borg, her personality can run a little hot and cold. “Sarcasm is a language”, her mother would say. Her father on the other hand tended toward being overly truthful and blunt saying that dissembling is inefficient. Dru was an only child and while she competed in school, she spent many long hours alone and can sometimes appear socially awkward.

Biography[]

From an early age, Dru had a passion for space and while they had a home on the planet, she did not pine for it. By all accounts, she was quite happy on the station or on their family craft. Dru idolized her mother’s 38-year career in Starfleet, often brushing aside the negative aspects. She was preparing for, and applying for acceptance to Starfleet from the youngest age allowed. Dru hoped to one day be able to claim to be an even better pilot than her mother. She took to space and flying at a young age. She often took the helm during flights of the SS Draganov during her time off from school.

Attending BTS3 Educational Academy, alongside thousands of other students ranging from age three to twenty three, Dru managed to keep to the top 5% of her class despite sometimes missing weeks at a time and having to catch up. Her family made efforts to keep her on more of a stable schedule once she took an interest in gymnastics. Her coach said she had a affinity for the sport, which was explained by her ability to maintain situational awareness even in a tumble or summersault. Dru quit the gymnastics team when she cleared prequalification for Starfleet Academy, focused her efforts on improving her class standing, and prepared for the qualification testing.

Her first time going to Earth was in the days before her classes began at the Academy in the summer of 2449. Her mother took her to places she knew from her life on Earth before Starfleet. Dru finally met her godfather Mick and got to tour the Delancey Foundation in person instead of just through a holodeck recreations, and Holo-conference. She made a point during as many breaks from the Academy as possible, to go back to Philadelphia to visit, not just Mick, but the Conservatory as well.
