The Delancey Trust

The Delancey Trust is a partition of funds and resources belonging to the Delancey Family and controlled by its officers. The Delancey Trust has been managed by the Delancey Foundation Investments Group since its creation in 2102. The Trust has been growing in value through investment and industrialist management alongside the funds apportioned for the non-profit Delancey Foundation since they were separated in 2102.

Through good investment handled through the Eruditus Group for many years, and then the Board of Trustees beginning 2102, the Delancey Trust had seen a great deal of growth over more than 300 years. The funds are held in trust for the descendants of the Delancey heir and through them the Badi clan. As a commonwealth concern it was to be borrowed from for new business ventures at reasonable rates and terms. The profits generated from repayment continued to increase the value of the Trust. Dispensations from the trust were limited to a percentage of yearly profit calculated by the growth divided by the number of claimants who are verified by bloodline to be of the founder's line, or if none, Clan Badi. Most of those whom were offered dispensation over the centuries chose to allow their portion to remain with the fund to grow for the sake of the clan.

As of the Vega Colony disaster of 2409, in which the Borg destroyed the colony with very few survivors, all known claimants to the Clan Badi and the founder's line were thought lost. It was only through dedicated research that volunteers of the Delancey Foundation found a lone survivor. This lone survivor is listed as the only Officer of the Delancey Trust as of 2428.

None remaining of the DeLancey line remained on Earth, having emigrated to Vega on the 2nd trip of the ECS Hieronymus. Only a few of greater age remained and provided no progeny that survived the Earth-Romulan War. This resulted a net remainder of heirs on Earth totaling 0, as of 2160.

Those that traveled to make their home in the Vega System were prosperous and had many children to carry the line forward. It is an unfortunate fact that the Clan Badi was not a group that often chose a simple agricultural existence. They were a brave people who often took on professions of adventure and danger. Attrition through mishap, disease, and age were a factors in limiting posterity. Ultimately, it was through an aggressive action by the Borg Collective in January of 2409 that resulted in so many dead, and others missing and presumed dead. Below you will find a complete alphabetical list of heirs for whom proof of death has not been concretely established.

It is the hope of all that they one day find their way home, be it Earth or Vega IX.
