Delancey College of Music is a prestigious institution of higher learning dedicated to the preservation and advancement of musical arts. Founded in 2298 in Philadelphia on the planet Earth, the college has become a renowned center for musical education and research. Originating as an unaccredited school for music and arts preservation and restoration working in a repurposed warehouse, it was the brainchild of Callan A. Connery to honor his step mother Brigid Connery after her death. The school provided training in music theory, the arts of restoration of media from paper to data crystals and all between, the preservation, restoration, and recreation of musical instruments with a focus on word working and metal working. Researchers for the Delancey Foundation spent many years of study developing the state of the art, and sharing their skills in the mission to fulfill their founding statement, "Make and preserve music, <...> teach the new generations the arts".
