Brigid Anne Delancey was a Nurse, working in the public sector. She relocated from San Francisco to Philadelphia to work with the Delancey Foundation, a family trust, and a philanthropic organization. She was well known to enjoy her work both at the hospital and with the foundation.
In late 2264, while living in Philadelphia, Brigid met and began a romance with LCDR Sean Connery, an officer overseeing work at the Camden Star Yard, a starship component manufacturing center. A year later, they were married, and Brigid now had two great loves in her life. Her husband Sean, and his three-year-old son Callan.
Upon learning that her husband was getting promoted and transferred to ship duty, she enlisted in Starfleet, in an attempt to be able to follow. After completing training, she began working at the Medical Center on the Earth Space Dock. She was as also offered full Academy training in the Medical program to gain a Medical Doctor degree.
Family History[]
Brigid Connery, maiden name Delancey, is part of a clan of pioneering people, most of which were part of the founding of Vega Colony, and remain there still today. (Corrected: As of 2409, Vega Colony has been destroyed.) Brigid was born Nancine Anne Delancey in Kearney NE, during a rare pilgrimage to Earth. Four of her immediate family had made a trip to Earth on family business. After reaching the age of maturity, she decided to return to Earth, claiming natural citizenship as is her birthplace.
As the first to be born on earth in over a hundred years, she was named for the founder of the Delancey Foundation, which had hosted their sendoff. The family named her the primary heir to the foundation holdings as well.

Specialist Connery is a highly qualified and experienced Nurse. Tested 2263 and accepted for entry to Academy class of 2268, chosen not to attend at that time, personal reasons. Upon enlistment, completing training and orientation, Specialist Connery was approached about completing the previously offered Starfleet Academy Medical program to begin September 2267. She was not able to attend.
