Artesia Gateway Object
The Artesia Gateway is an artificial wormhole connecting Artesia in the Large Magellanic Cloud to a point within the Milky Way Galaxy. The gateway was initially discovered by the USS Sentinel on stardate 94204.43. The USS Adagio made the initial trip through the gateway on stardate 94307.53. Since then many other ships followed and the gateway is now being used regularly by the Federation and allied forces. Like the Bajoran Wormhole, the Artesia Gateway is inhabited by an advanced and powerful alien (known as Hecate) who restricts or allows traffic as she see fit.
