Biography[]
Ariadne Gloucester, "Ari" as she would be known to her friends, was born of a family in northern Scotland, Earth. Much of her life though was spent in English academic settings as her mother is a professor of Communications at the University of Warwick, UK. Her father is a practicing Psychologist, working largely with Post Traumatic Stress patients.
Early in her years, Ariadne had decided to follow her father's example and learn to be a psychologist. It was not until she was in her third year of college that she became engaged in the sub-field of cybernetic psychology. After an internship with her father's practice for several years, Ariadne found a professional niche working with the Daystrom Institute studying artificial intelligence. Some of her work in the field of Cybernetic Psychology has been declared groundbreaking, and she is one of the recognized authorities on the subject by the UFP courts.
Ariadne met Patrick, her soon to be spouse while working on a classified project for the Daystrom Institute. They were married in 2413 and have registered an adoptive daughter living with them in their home in Northern Ireland. Patrick is a Starfleet officer and a cyberneticist. Both have been called as experts in their fields to testify in the UFP Supreme court.
In later years, the couple has spent most of their efforts on raising their daughter. They proudly saw her through primary education and then gaining two degrees at Oxford University on a full scholarship. Though with her recent graduation from Starfleet Academy which she was graduated with honors the couple appears to be experiencing empty nest syndrome. There is a rumor that they will be welcoming more children into their home.
