Acrima Star System (LMC-2749) - LMC Sector 2030 / Large Magellanic Cloud
A G3 Single Yellow Star system located coreward of the Artesia star system. The system, located on the border of Skara Confederacy/Kzari Regime Space. The system is home to the Acrima race. A Humanoid race that has recently just made first contact with several species.
Acrima Star System
The system consists of nine planets and a large asteroid belt. Its Oort cloud is active with numerous comets. Indications are that the Acrima are heavily involved with in system colonization having many colony and industrial stations on many of its inner and outer worlds. Mining and research facilities have been noted as well as several space stations used as ship repair and construction.
Chantry Attack[]
In September of 2423 (stardate 96615.17) The Chantry launched an attempted genocide of the people of Acrima. Using mass driver cannons and space portal technology. The crew of the USS Sentinel were able to halt the attacks, with the aid of the Skara and Kzari. However the destruction and loss of life was still staggering.
Results from the Chantry of Delphi's Attack[]
- The Western Continent suffered the most damage from the impact, though both continents have suffered extreme damage to their infrastructure that continues with large areas now overgrown by the results of the terraforming.
- Resulting installation losses reported are seven cities and their surrounding urban areas destroyed with all cities and their outlying areas suffering damage. The loss of four major military installations.
- Casualties known to date resulting from the attack and follow up catastrophes are 1,576,481,312 dead with several hundred million still reported missing. Twice the number of fatalities were wounded in the attack.
- Yanda, Skara, Kirtascan, Bursali, Kzari and Project Magellan forces remain on Acrima IV to assist the Acrima. Currently 36 Kzari Command cruisers remain hovering a mile above every major Acrima Urban area and every surviving Acrima Self Defense Force military installations. The Kzari represent the largest visible force on the planet for recovery operations. Though much appreciated by the Acrima for their help this sizable Kzari presence so close to their borders continues to be a source of tension between the Skara Confederation and the Kzari Regime.
- Rescue and Recovery operations still continue on the surface and are likely to continue for some years to come.
